I’ve also been an active participant in the policy development for the field of Acupuncture & Eastern Medicine, working to integrate its potential into the modern healthcare system and enhance its educational standards, including:

• Director and President of the California State Oriental Medical Association (CSOMA),
• Director of the Council of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine Associations (CAOMA),
• Member of the Educational & Professional Competencies Task Force for the California Acupuncture Board (CAB),
• Co-Chair of the Research Committee of the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine, and
• Editor-in-Chief of the California Journal of Oriental Medicine (CJOM, now JAIM).
